Alpro garlic mash

Ingredients

  • 4-5 large floury potatoes (such as Maris Piper or King Edwards), peeled
  • 4-5 tbsp Alpro soya dairy free alternative to single cream
  • 1 tbsp margarine
  • 2 cloves of Garlic, crushed
  • Good handful of flat leaved chopped parsley
  • Salt, ground black pepper, and fresh grated nutmeg to taste

Preparation

Garlic flavoured mash flecked with fresh parsley made extra creamy with the addition of Alpro (soya Dream) Dairy Free Alternative to Cream.

1. Cut potato into even sized pieces. Simmer gently until just tender. Drain thoroughly.
2. Add remaining ingredients and mash until smooth.
3. Serve as a vegetable accompaniment or use to top savoury pies or with sausages and onions for a really traditional meal.

- For gluten/wheat-free option use wheat/gluten-free pepper.
