Dauphinoise potatoes

  • 200ml Alpro soya dairy free alternative to single cream
  • 200ml Alpro soya dairy free alternative to milk
  • 400g Potatoes
  • 2 cloves Garlic
  • 75g Margarine
  • Nutmeg
  • Pinch Salt and ground Black Pepper

Preparation

A delicious way of serving potatoes that whilst creamy and melt-in-the-mouth has crispy bits to it too. Dauphinoise can be served either with vegetables or accompanied by a salad.

1.Thinly slice potatoes. Grease casserole dish or baking tin (about 15cm by 10cm or thereabouts). Smash up garlic and spread around the bottom. Add potatoes, seasoning as you go, adding the odd pinch
of freshly grated nutmeg. Mix Alpro soya cream alternative and Alpro soya dairy free milk alternative. Pour over.
2. Place dish in oven and bake for about 45 minutes until soft through and crispy on top.
3. In winter serve with Brussel Sprouts and chestnuts steamed and finished with Alpro soya dairy free cream alternative. In summer, serve with a green salad.

- For gluten/wheat-free option use wheat/gluten-free nutmeg and pepper.
