
Coffee sauce

for 300 ml:

300 ml Alpro soya dairy free alternative to milk

2,5 ml spoon ( 1 1/2 tablespoon) cornflour

1 or 2 drops of vanilla essence
-
sugar, honey or sweetener, to taste

15 ml (1 tablespoon) instant coffee powder
Blend the instant coffee powder with the cornflour. Blend a little of the Alpro soya dairy free alternative to milk with the cornflour. Heat the remaining Alpro soya dairy free alternative to milk to boiling point, gradually stir into the blended mixture then return to the pan and
bring to the boil, stirring with a wooden spoon. Simmer for 1-2 minutes until the sauce has thickened. Remove from the heat and add 1 or 2 drops of vanilla essence and sugar, honey or sweetener to taste. Serve with plain sponge puddings, poached pears or peaches, or ice cream.
