
Rum or brandy sauce

for 300 ml:

300 ml Alpro soya dairy free alternative to milk

2x15 ml spoon (2 tablespoon) cornflour

1 or 2 drops of vanilla essence

sugar, honey or sweetener, to taste

1-2x15 ml spoons (2 tablespoons) rum or brandy
Blend a little of the Alpro soya dairy free alternative to milk with the cornflour. Heat the remaining Alpro soya dairy free alternative to milk to boiling point, gradually stir into the blended mixture then return to the pan and bring to the boil, stirring with a wooden spoon.
Simmer for 1-2 minutes until the sauce has thickened. Remove from the heat and add 1 or 2 drops of vanilla essence. Add the rum or brandy with the sugar. Add to the rest. Serve with Christmas pudding or mince pies.
