"We are delighted to announce that we will once again be supporting the Tree-Athlon event which will take place in London's Battersea Park on Saturday 15th September 2007.  This builds on our sponsorship of the charity last year and follows the success that the event has had since 2005.

Organised by the charity Trees for Cities, a Tree-athlon is a three part event for tree lovers of all ages. It includes a 5km run, a symbolic tree activity where you can make an "urban tree wish" and, new for this year, it will also feature a fashion swap to encourage people to reduce their carbon footprint by recycling garments they no longer need.

Alpro and Trees for Cities go back to school...

As part of our sponsorship of the charity we thought it would be great to be involved in a tree planting initiative at a local Kettering school.  The children planted their own fruit tree garden and our company dietitians led a fruit kebab making session indoors.  Great fun was had by all and even the weather was kind.....
