Charity activities
Alpro is very aware of its social responsibility for the planet and its inhabitants. This genuine concern is strongly embedded within our company policy. We do all we can to actively support projects for the good of people and planet.
Brazil - Education brings new hope.
Alpro supports the EDHUCCA* project in Parana state in Brazil. This is a centre where young people and adults can benefit from education and take part in after-school activities. This gives them the opportunity to develop themselves and to increase their chances in the employment market.

Africa & Asia - Self-powered soya production.
In Africa and Asia, Alpro supports “Vitagoat” – a small scale soya production facility powered by bicycle pedals. This system is not dependent on electricity, generators or the power of running water, which is a tremendous advantage as electricity is very expensive in these countries and often not even available.
Thanks to Vitagoat, communities can process soya into soya milk and soya products, breaking the cycle of malnutrition and poverty by their own endeavours.
Antarctica - Research into the future of our planet.
Alpro is supporting the International Polar Foundation’s “Princess Elizabeth Antartica” research station. This is the world’s first zero emission station sited on the South Pole.
The International Polar Foundation communicates and educates on polar science and polar research to develop understanding of key environmental and climate issues.
Alpro is delighted to be working with IDF as this research is extremely important in seeking out answers to questions about the future of our planet.
