Non GM soya

We make all of our soya products from non-genetically modified soya beans.  This means we operate a rigorous segregation and control system.  We can fully trace the origin of our beans from farmer to shop, and this traceability is audited by an independent certified organisation “Cert-ID”. (www.cert-id.com).

We do our utmost to avoid any traces of GM. That’s why we can guarantee that the products you buy are made from non-gm soya beans.

Fair to Farmers

We believe it’s important for us to have a strong relationship with our farmers; therefore we have built up a long-term relationship with each of them, many of which go back for more than 25 years.  We never buy soya beans on the commodity market. This kind of long-term relationship is reassuring for the farmers, making them less vulnerable if a crop fails.

This way of working is a fact that has recently impressed Greenpeace who said of our activity in Brazil, "They have a very small-scale operation but they have more control on the traceability of their products and they are streets ahead of the rest of the trade in working with farmers and funding schools and other projects. It's not “greenwash”, they practice what they preach."

Amazon rainforest

Only a small proportion of our soya beans are sourced from Brazil and never from deforested rainforest.  The farms growing our soya beans are located in the far south of Brazil.  Our farmers take great care of their land using crop rotation to avoid soil depletion and crop diseases.

We also source soya beans from Canada, China and Southern Europe.
